League of Women Voters Forum

The League of Women Voters of Jefferson County, a non-partisan and non-profit organization, plans to conduct a candidate’s forum for the upcoming November, 2018, general elections. We invite you to participate on our proposed date of 0ctober 22, 2018, please “save the date”. The forums typically start at 7:00 pm and end no later than 9:00 pm; they will be conducted in Jefferson County, WV. Our standard format is to provide two (2) minutes for you to introduce yourself followed by a Q&A session. Questions will be pre-determined by the League as well as audience generated. We conclude with a one (1) minute wrap up by you. Please note that we expect representatives from the media to be present, you may be quoted and/or filmed. There will be an area in which you may place campaign material should you wish, however we request that you do not distribute them personally, or campaign, during the evening. We encourage you to send a surrogate should you be unable to attend the forum; your surrogate will not be included in the Q&A period but will be afforded two (2) minutes time to represent you to the audience at the beginning of the forum. Should your opposing candidate not attend the forum and be unable to send a surrogate, we will afford you the courtesy to fully participate in the forum.
