Can I register to vote?
Are you -
- A United States citizen,
- At least 18 years of age, or will be 18 on or before November 8,
- Living in West Virginia,
- NOT currently under conviction, probation or parole for any felony, treason or bribery, AND
- NOT been judged mentally incompetent in a court of competent jurisdiction.
If you meet all 5 conditions above, you are eligible to vote! Applications can be submitted at any time.
How do I register to vote?
There are four basic options for registering to vote:
- You can apply in person at the Jefferson County Courthouse located at 100 E. Washington St, Charles Town;
- You can download a voter registration application and return the completed form by mail;
- You can visit the DMV and register electronically there;
- You can register online.
